These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PLACIQ ("Service"), operated by PLACIQ ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using PLACIQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use PLACIQ. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Account Registration
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at hello@placiq.com
You may not create more than one account per person, or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
PLACIQ offers a free Starter plan and a paid Pro plan. Billing for Pro is monthly or annual, charged in advance. When paid subscriptions are enabled, payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider and charged according to the selected billing cycle.
Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) and may change with 30 days' written notice. You can cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others or allow others to use your subscription
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the platform
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with any part of the Service
- Use the platform to submit, share, or generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content
- Impersonate PLACIQ, our team, or other users
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to solve problems or generate fake progress data
- Circumvent subscription limits or access controls
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable Indian law
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
5. AI-Generated Content
PLACIQ uses approved AI models and providers through our backend AI gateway to power tutoring, interview simulation, resume, and career guidance features. AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes only.
- AI responses may contain errors. Always verify critical information independently.
- AI hints and solutions are learning aids — submitting them as your own work in actual assessments may violate your institution's academic integrity policies.
- PLACIQ is not responsible for outcomes based solely on AI-generated advice.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on PLACIQ — including the DSA curriculum, problem sets, AI tutor system, templates, and interface design — is owned by PLACIQ and protected by copyright.
You retain ownership of content you create (resume documents, project files submitted). By uploading content to PLACIQ, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and use it to provide the Service.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from PLACIQ content without written permission.
7. Enterprise Opt-in Candidate Pool
If you opt into the Enterprise Opt-in Candidate Pool, your verified profile (name, skills, assessment scores, and projects) may be made visible to authorized recruiting teams for recruitment purposes. You can opt out at any time from your account settings. PLACIQ does not guarantee job placement.
8. Disclaimers
PLACIQ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities
- Using PLACIQ will result in employment or placement at any specific company
- AI-generated content is always accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, PLACIQ's liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will notify you by email.
